Why wont my LG tribut Dynasty lock even though i put a pin on it?

For example, i have a pin right but when im in the lock and i swipe to open it. It doesn't show me the "put the pin" instead it open to my home screen.

Have you set it to lock immediately, or only after a certain time?

There should be another option for "Lock Timer" (Settings>Display>Lock Screen>Lock Timer) which is the time it takes from when the screen turns off to when the phone locks again and requires your PIN. If it's set to a long interval (like 10 minutes), you might not be waiting long enough for the phone to lock again. Try changing it to 1 or 2 minutes instead.
