I have a ZTE Android phone operating on Android OS 7.0.
What is the Lollipop OS system, i'm being told Google Pay only works with the Lollipop system and i must have this OS to test drive this app.

Is Lollipop a separate OS from 7?

Welcome to Android Central! Lollipop is Android 5.0. 7.0 is Nougat. Google Pay requires Lollipop or higher, so your phone should work, assuming it has an NFC chip. If the phone doesn't have NFC, then you can't use the tap-to-pay feature.
