    I have a Dell desk top computer with a tower, it's an old computer and the slot is too big to put the sd card in to test it.

    You're going to need an adapter. Depends on which slot your computer has, but I'm guessing it's an SD card. Some of the microSD cards come with one, but if not, you can find some online. You can also find SD card readers with multiple ports that can fit different card sizes and plugs into your computer through USB. Or, if you have your phone, you can also do that via USB (with the card in the phone).
