Android Central Question

Trying to figure out what I thought would be a fairpy easy feature:

When listening to music, any notification causes my music to go silent for a second.

I get notifications every 10 seconds or so, making it inpossible to listen to music.

Even with notification aounds turned off, with do not disturb mode enabled, i still find my music being interrupted.

I still want to GET the notification in my botificatikn bar, ao entirely disabling the notifications for the app is not an option.

At the moment, i geniuinely think i will have to buy a secondd device just so i can listen to music.

Is there something I'm missing?

Which phone?
Which version of android?
Which carrier?
Which music app?

Does the sound still fade if the notification system is set to vibrate instead of sound?

The factory music app on my LG V30 does fade the music for notifications.
However, I have noticed that the YouTube video app does not fade the video sounds.
This leads me to believe the fading is an app "feature". You may need to try some different music apps.
