I am the only person in my family that does not have an iPhone, and when I receive videos via text they are always compressed and small. How can I fix this?

That's the nature of the text protocol, it just doesn't support large file sizes so the video has to be compressed. They'd need to either email the file or put it on a sharing site such as Google photos, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc and then share the link through text.

If you had an iPhone the video would go through at full quality because it would be using the Messages protocol over data rather than the MMS protocol.
