Android Central Question

Seems like Android has a similar problem as Windows did years ago in that after a certain period of time everything starts running slower to the point where you're forced to do a reset.

Windows has a refresh option now where everything isn't completely blown away, but you get the benefits of a reset.

Is there something like that with Android that I am unaware of or am I going to be stuck with having to reinstall all my files, apps etc?

Wiping system cache, and the app caches - then, I'll bet you use the Home button when you're finished with an app. That just runs the launcher, the app keeps running. Use the Back button to stop the app and let it clean its own cache.
