My new s9 wont display my messages on the top of the screen when received like my old galaxy phone. I did change all the settings for the popup not to show and for content not to be visible on lock screen but this is soemthing else. Like when im on the phone i like when the message comes on that top line so i can read it without entering the messaging app. Does anyone know how to enable that?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps, select the messaging app, then Notifications, and look for an option to change the notification behavior -- this can be modified for individual conversation threads. Make sure the behavior is set to Make Sound and Pop On Screen.
