How do I reset my password if I can't remember it

I had the screen replaced on my Samsung S6, and now it's asking for a password. I totally forgot it even had a password. I tried to enter the wrong password so I could maybe use my Google account to get into the phone and it never asks for my Google account! HELP!

Welcome to Android Central! Has this always been your phone? If not, it's probably asking for the Google account/password from the previous owner. See if you can contact that person. Otherwise, there's no way around this -- it's called Factory Reset Protection for a reason.
