I am planning on buying an unlocked Galaxy S9. I currently have an unlocked S6. When I buy the new one, can I remove the Sim card I have now and put it in the S9? I know they both take Nanos.

Yup, just pop the SIM card from your S6 and put it into the S9.

And set the S9 to the same Google account as the S6. If, during the startup process, it asks if you want to copy files from an existing phone, say yes and follow the instructions, and you'll see a familiar phone with the S9.
