Hey guys. I got my new phone awhile ago a few days before christmas. It worked well until my data provider connection isn't really connecting well. I have to restart my phone to see if i even got any messages or missed calls then it goes back down after a bit. Why is my samsung j7 refine doing this and what should I do to fix it? I could be missing an important call

Have you in the first instance spoken to your carrier about it? It could be a bad SIM, for example, which would be nothing to do with the phone. https://forums.androidcentral.com/sh...d.php?t=409154

I have not done that yet. I could ask about it. Although I thought I saw a few review complaining about this data connection issue

Welcome to Android Central! Which carrier do you have, and did you get the phone directly from the carrier or from somewhere else?

It looks like that's a Boost Mobile exclusive phone. Have you asked Boost about this? Maybe your cell signal isn't very good. Boost uses Sprint, which doesn't have the greatest coverage everywhere.

Any power-saving modes turned on? Or are there any network management tools installed on the phone?

Try also going to Settings>Mobile Networks and look for the Reset Network Settings option.

Nah also i couldn't find a reset option on there. The only thing I had on was the blue light filter that was on my phone

See what happens if you turn off that mode (although it really shouldn't affect the phone or data connection).

Another thing to try would be to boot into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables the apps you installed: https://www.hardreset.info/devices/s...018/safe-mode/

I might go ask the provider about it
it may be that the phone itself isn't working. or the sim card.
It's hard to find things about this phone
