I just got this phone, brand new, on Wednesday. I'm only using the charger from the box, I have power saver mode on all the time and I have the "Always On" screen turned off.

I turned the power saver mode off, when i was at 40% to see what would happen. For about 45 minutes I scrolled through Reddit. At the end of the 45 minutes my phone was at 23%.

I plugged in my phone (at 23%) and I received an estimated charge time of 5 HOURS.

Please tell me this isn't normal

The phone is 2 days old? See if they'll exchange it for another new one. The battery sounds about shot. Two years? Maybe, if you mistreat it. (Never let it drop below 40% - lithium batteries are not deep-discharge batteries.) But 2 days? I don't think you could kill it with the size wire on it in 2 days if you tried. (I wouldn't rule out a dendrite either, but I wouldn't bring that up with them - see if you can get the phone exchanged, then read Lithium Battery Dendrite links.)
