No sound through bluetooth with google maps

Have a Samsung S9 plus but cannot hear navigation through radio via bluetooth. I have play sound checked on settings for map quest?

Make sure you have whatever Bluetooth device you're using (car head unit, earphones) set - in the Bluetooth page - to have Media enabled. Then turn Bluetooth off, then turn it on again. (Use a media source that's constant - like a radio or music player - running at the same time so you can tell immediately when you're getting media in the Bluetooth device. (Once you figure out the sequence, you can turn off that other source.)
