    Can I put my smartphone on a scanner to make a copy of something. Is it safe .I cant send it to the copier but I need a copy

    You can and it won't hurt your screen (only if you do it on the camera while the shutter is open, like when recording video or long-exposure pictures), but wouldn't it be easier to just take a screenshot and mail it to yourself to print?

    It won't damage the phone, but I'm also not sure if you can get a quality scan from a screen.

    True, glass on the phone would probably cause glare or too much reflection to get a good scan

    Is there a reason why you don't just take a screenshot, then print it out if you need a hard copy?
