My Samsung S7 Edge has had the black screen since New Years Day. I now have a new phone and have sent the back up from the Samsung to my new phone. I managed to get my apps and contacts etc

But I didnt back up the Messages, photos, and Whatsapp messages. IS there anyway of doing this?

The phone still works it lights up but all software i have used is saying to use the screen and i cant

would love to get at least my photos back

You'd have to replace the screen, at least temporarily, unless you have USB debugging enabled and the phone is rooted. (Pictures are no problem, but messages and WhatsApp messages are probably in protected folders, so you'd need root access - and if you don't have it, you'd need the screen to be able to root the phone - if that didn't include unlocking the bootloader. If it did, it would wipe all your data, so even that wouldn't work.)

Maybe now you'll start making regular backups?
