    I have two phones:
    - Phone A: has my SIM card and is connected to the internet
    - Phone B: is connected to the internet

Is it possible to install an app (and which one) on phone A so that I can receive and respond to SMS messages and calls on phone B?

I want to do this so that I am able to leave phone A at home when i'm overseas; while still be able to receive and respond to SMS messages and calls on phone B.

I don't want to take my SIM card with me due to roaming charges and it is much cheaper to pick up a local SIM card when overseas. I also don't want to forward calls using my telco due to forwarding costs and when you are changing SIM cards constantly when going through many countries (and hence numbers), updating the call forwarding gets annoying.

Currently, I have installed the 'Auto Forward SMS' app on phone A which forwards SMS messages to my gmail and I can reply/send through gmail. That's working!

But, I can't find anything that would 'forward' a call through the internet? Is there an app out there that would allow be to take a call on phone B coming through on phone A through the internet bypassing the telco?

Have you tried out a Google Voice phone number?

Welcome to Android Central! I second methodman89's suggestion. Google Voice should be able to do that.
