I need a new louder ringtone for my alarm clock

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? You've made sure that the Alarm volume slider (which is separate from the Ringtone/Notification slider and Media slider) is turned up, correct?

If none of the other preinstalled alarm tones aren't loud enough, then you could look online for an inherently louder tone. Download it to the phone, and use a file manager to move the sound file to the /Alarms directory. See if that works better.

If you create your own alarm tone, you can set the internal volume level to be very high.
This is easy to do on a computer, not sure about doing it on a phone.

You can always look at Zedge for loud, obnoxious tones for alarms! Some of those files are pretty loud to begin with. Let us know what you decide!

Or use Ringtone Maker to increase the volume of any alarm tone until it distorts (or make it distort enough to annoy you into waking up).
