[Android Central Question]

I can't for the life of me find the way to change the Galley photo app from being the default app in Facebook, Messager and other programs.

I have disabled Galley app but for some reason it doesn't let Facebook look anywhere else but Galley for searching for photos - also the messages app does not give me the option to look in Google Photo for pictures

The Camera now does load into both apps - the first 2 weeks it only loaded into Galley

would appreciate any helf

I'm not sure why you are wanting this. Google Photos will show you the exact same thing as the OEM gallery app. The only exception would be it also shows photos stored in your Google Drive backup, but I doubt other apps would be able to access them anyway.

Photos don't "go to Gallery", Gallery displays the pictures on the phone. So does every other picture app, like Google Photos. Install an app that Facebook and messages will allow you to share from (it won't let you choose individual files?) and that app will show the same pictures, and you'll be able to pick the pictures. Just install it - there's no "changing" involved. (Just installing it should have it pick up the same pictures that Gallery does - they're picking them from the same database - the Media Scan database.)
