When I clear the notifications away in my phone is there anyway to make it so the little circle you get next to apps doesn't. So I can see what apps I have messeges for?

When you swipe a notification away, it's because you have a message (or email or whatever) for that app. If you want to see the message, tap, don't swipe. If you have 3 notifications and only swipe one away, the other 2 are still there. (If you want to see what app sent the notification, long-press the notification, but it should be telling you from the notification itself.)

Welcome to Android Central! I believe the notifications in the status bar are functioning pretty much the same as the unread notification count badges, so if you get rid of one, you get rid of the other.
