Android Central Question

Hi,

I have a Samsung galaxy Note 4 that I use just for music / family. The other day I got a mmc read failed, and the phone was going quite slow. So I left it for a bit and didn't have a problem since. Today I was at work listening to music, I then turned off the phone and left it to charge, about 20 minutes later, I came back to the phone and it wouldn't charge or power on. Is it completely dead? If I plug it into the pc, it makes a connection sound, but that's it. Nothing in my pc or smart switch etc. Says USB device unrecognised...

This is my 3rd note this has happened to, and I'm not sure if it's still under warranty, and the Samsung store is far from me.

Welcome to Android Central! An MMC read failure sure sounds like a bad thing -- it implies that the onboard storage chip was failing. The Note 4 is 3.5 years old, so it's highly unlikely it's still covered by warranty. For your next device, it would probably be best to avoid this particular model.
