Why doesn't Android Auto display on Pilot 2019 Touring using Galaxy S9 with Android 9 OS?

Good evening. I have tried everything under the sun and Android Auto icon is not displaying. I paired my Galaxy S9 with Android 9.0 to my new Honda Pilot 2019. It prompted me for permissions which I gave. The Android Auto icon does not appear on the car navigation screen, though it clearly appears in the system settings. I even reset the entertainment system, uninstalled and reinstalled Android Auto and changed USB cables for another S9 OEM cable. Nothing works. Can you please help? Thanks.
