Can't find a way to unlock my Moto e5 Plus service provider

Someone broke my old phone, and my friend gave me one of his old ones. It's service provider was MetroPCS, I use AT&T and I haven't found a reliable way- well anyway to unlock the service provider, I tried using the Device Unlocker but got no luck, I did unlock the SRP on a LG Tribute 5, but that required root, and I haven't found a way to root it, and I don't know if I could unlock it the same way anyway. Anyone got any tips, or no of an easy way to unlock it?

Yeah I did, the app said that the phone's not eligible, I did just root the phone so I'm gonna try the LG Tribute 5 method

The method that WILL work is the one where the MetroPCS requirements for unlocking are met so that they will provide the code needed to unlock it.
