Voice to text has so many incorrect words it's Not worth using

My Samsung 7 had great ability to recognize what I was saying. This phone chronically spells things wrong that our everyday words were phonetically spells out words that are longer. Making it completely impossible to use. Very frustrating. This is a Samsung 9..

Not sure why you're having issues. Have you checked your microphone for obstructions from a case or debris inside? Have you tried using different TTS services (either Samsung's or Google's) to see if you get the same results? I had no issues with mine when I used it, and still have no issues with the Note 9 line, but I've always used Google's engine instead of Samsung's because of its ability to detect multiple languages on the fly without having to change it.
