Without knowing which device, we can't begin to guess if it's possible. Have you considered a different calendar app rather than abandoning the update as a whole?

If you are describing the Google Calendar there are several ways to view multiple days or an entire month at a glance.

First tap the 'Hamburger Menu' (the three lines in the top right corner of the screen) then from the menu you can choose 1 Day, 3 Days, Week or Month.

Additionally, you can choose to take a quick look at the the month by tapping the month name.

If you are using the Samsung Calendar app the you just need to tap the View menu to select other calendar views.

If you are using a different calendar app, please let us know...and we can try to assist you.
