How Can I Safely Read Data From Micro SD Card On Computer Without Losing Any Data

I would like to use an adapter to insert my micro SD card from my phone into a computer. How can I do that without losing data? Do I have to format it or anything like that? Thanks

I just plug it in and it reads. Don't format or anything like that!

Welcome to Android Central! Is there a reason you're concerned you'll lose data? Has the card been acting strangely? As long as you're not deleting anything, you won't lose any data.
