Android Central Question

I went to a ringtone app to download custom ringtones and now I cannot delete them from my system nor can I find them in the file manager to delete. In fact I cannot find the folder where the stock ringtones that the phone came with are either as I have a feeling that is where the custom ringtones got downloaded to. Any idea where I can find that file??

Whatever app you used should have something in settings that shows where it downloads to. It's also possible to search for the file name on some phones.

My first guess is that an XL is the original Pixel, more specific information from you would result in better answers.

Sorry new to doing this message board thing. Yes it is an pixel XL and no the ringtones for some reason or another did not download into the ringers folder. It downloaded direct to where the factory set ringtones are and I don't know where to find that file. I tried using file manager to search for the MP3 Extension file and no luck.

The system's ringtone directory is a protected directory that the user can't access unless the phone is rooted. I'm not sure if you can get rid of those ringtones unless you do a factory reset.
