My moto e4 fingerprint sensor doesn't work anymore

I have a Motorola e4 from Verizon and it has always had a fingerprint sensor that worked but all of a sudden it doesnt work and the fingerprint settings in the security settings just disappeared and now my sensor wont sense my finger at all. What is going on

Also, are you using it on a work account? If so, the security credentials for the work account might prevent you from using the fingerprint.
