Samsung Galaxy S6 w/Android 7.0

[Android Central Question]

I've not received an update in about a year =/-. I have been trying to manually update through the Settings App, but continually am informed that my phone is up to date. Verizon is my carrier. Is there another way, other than the Settings App, to determine if my phone OS is really up to date. If it is, OK, but if it is not, then I want to remedy that. Thank you

Yes. Google sammobile, search software version, put in phone model (SM-G....) and the current version will be there..
