My Huawei P10 Lite and my girlfriends P20 Lite won't detect our home wifi, but it can see and connect to any other wifi signal. Our Landlord has had Bell work on our wifi a couple times in the last few weeks with no changes. He was also on the phone with Bell last night, and Bell and our Landlord thinks it's our phones.

The weird thing is that our laptops, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and all of our Landlords devices will find the signal and connect with no problems.

Does anybody have an idea of what the issue is?

    Welcome.

We have this Wi-Fi Guide, which may be of use to you. If still no go, tell us. https://forums.androidcentral.com/sh...d.php?t=326698

I actually took a quick look through there. I'm going to have to talk to my landlord again and have him go through the settings in the router. The wifi was working for us about a week and Bell came and did something and our phones haven't connected since.

Looking at the guide, i don't see anything for not being able to detect a wifi signal at all. When I go to my wifi screen all the neighbors networks show up, my landlords tv wifi signal shows up, but not our wifi signal.

I have a feeling it has something to do with the network channels, but our Landlord won't change the channel because he doesn't want to have to reconnect all of his stuff.

I'm no Wi-Fi expert, so I'll pass this to other team members for suggestions.

If he changes the channel, however, he won't have to re-connect anything (unless he has a device with a manually-forced channel).

You mention you did see the network before, so is it on your saved networks? Have you tried removing it from there and trying to re-add? Have you used a WiFi network analyzer app to see if the devices 'see' the network (this would actually help figure out if a channel is too congested). I'd also have them check if, for some reason, your MAC addresses weren't blocked directly on the router (although in theory this would only block you from connecting, not seeing the network). If you stand close to the router with your device, does it still not 'see' it?

I had deleted the saved network a couple days ago when we couldn't find the network, and now we still can't get it. I download a wifi manager on my phone today, and it didn't show up on there either, but the neighbors and landlords tv did. We tried doing a WPS connection yesterday ( i was standing a few feet from the router) and the WPS connection didn't find anything. Ill let my Landlord know that switching channels wont disconnect his devices, and see if he'll do it for me and I'll let you know the results.

Yeah, from all that it seems like, for some reason, your devices just don't see whatever channel the network is on. Just to rule out an app I would try booting up your phone into safe mode (don't think it'll make a difference, but you never know) and, if possible, try to get another 'P' device to see if it's a 'problem' with that series' radio.

Tried booting in safe mode with no luck, so we'll have to look at the network channels. Won't be able to do it for a few hours as the landlord is busy, but will post up the results when we do it.

Another team member, @krisguy, has suggested that whether the phones are Chinese or European models may be relevant, since the Wi-Fi bands may be wrong for certain regions.

Seems as though he wasn't able to find an option to switch the channels. I tried looking it up on google as well and couldn't find anything on it either, other than someone mentioning a wifi optimizer button, but i don't think he saw it there either. Router being used is a Bell 3000.

For the phone being Chinese or European, its possible, when I did the initial started it up and did the set up on it the language was in Spanish. I just find it weird that my phone will work everywhere else though.

Won't be able to look into it this weekend though, I'll be away for a few days.
