I need an app that can change the dates when the photo was taken because when I transferred my photos from phone storage to SD card, the dates shown are incorrect.

Photos have two sets of dates:
    - EXIF data inside the file contains the date captured and the date edited
    - the file system contains dates when the file was created and edited.

The Android/Linux file system does not preserve the dates of the files when they are copied or moved.

Well written picture viewer apps look at the EXIF data not the file dates.
If you need a better picture viewer, try "piktures" by Diune.

That said, there are probably apps in the Play Store that will reset the file dates to match the EXIF dates, but I have no recommendations.

Does your phone not name the picture files based on the capture date so that sorting by name has the same effect?
