Is there any value in buying the 12gig ram version of the S10+

I have a relative who is considering taking the plunge to upgrade to the S10+ but he is concerned about performance. He is a moderate user, nothing too fancy and I personally believe that the 8gb model will be fine for him for the life of the phone. What do you think?

Depends on the type of apps the user likes to use.
Some games like lots of memory.
Some people like to have lots of web browser tabs open.
Some people like to have lots of apps running at the same time.

That said, you are probably correct in that 8 gb is more than enough for 95% of the world.
