My phone charges to 100% usually, but drain fast and shuts down anywhere between 25%-50% at it's whimsy. I did what someone else suggested...letting it shut itself off...charging to 100%...unpluging it for about 30 min (still off)...charged it for another hour. Took it off the charger and it was at 22%. Maybe I need a new battery? I did replace the charging port last fall. What do all you smart folks think??

Sounds like a new battery to me. For future reference, charging to full and draining completely can kill a Li-ion battery fairly quick. They prefer a happy medium, which why the usual guideline is to keep it between 40-80%. Going outside that once in a while may not do much damage, but any the worst you can do is drain it to the point it shuts off.
