Android Central Question

when tweeking settings in

Settings/Notifications/recently sent/See All/most frequent (selected in drop down menu). and with 'show system apps' selected in top right 'dot menu'...

the first icon I see is a geen and white icon labeled 'Android System'.
When I select this app I can see a number of settings to toggle ON or OFF under the label 'Display over other apps' that should not be there as I do not have those apps installed.

The 3 im confused about include: 'Dictionary', 'Microsoft launcher' and 'APUS file manager'.

As far as I can tell I do not have any of these apps installed anywhere (at least they shouldn't be there anymore).

is this
a)just a strange anomaly
b) is it possible they are still installed but i can not get to them for some reason or
c) perhaps this 'system' app is dodgee?
d)?

Any insight would be fantastic!
Thanks, Em

Most likely if they were installed at some point, they registered in the system (Android System notifications are general notifications). After they uninstalled, the registry/history is still there, which is probably what you're seeing. Doesn't mean the apps are still installed, just that if you install again, that will re-register.

You can try to make sure by going into the Applications section of your settings. If the processes are there, they're still installed. If not, well, they're not haha.

Note that some processes might be included as part of other apps.
