I am trying to send people a conference bridge via SMS
    Example:
    Join my conference; 123-456-7891,,123456#

While this works in the calendar it does not work as an SMS. It does work on iPhones.

Has anyone had any success with this?

The ability you are looking for is a feature (or not) of the SMS app that the text receiver is using, which the sender has no control over.

However, all users should be able to select+copy+paste.

I think this is a flaw. It works in all mail programs we tested. iPhone handles it properly too. Considering most people use the out of the box messaging app, or the one provided by their carrier, I would say this is something that should be addressed.
