I have a Samsung SIII Protege I use as an mp3 player running on it's original OS. Recently some of the apps no longer work because they've lost compatibility with the android's original OS. Is it possible to install a new OS so I can continue using the phone? If it is possible, which OS can the hardware of the SIII Protege support? I'd like the most recently released/available OS so that I can use up the phone before I have to replace it.
