red minus sign beside quick responses

[Android Central Question]

i cant access/use the quick responses when messaging (note 8). i checked fr the more settings nd found all quick responses had a red minus sign at the far right of the phrases. i was able to use them before (edited them) the last 2 updates. how will i be able to use the feature again? do i hav to reset my fon nd lose everything on it? is there a way of resetting only the messaging app? how will i be able to use quick responses again?
