Android Central Question

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 with Android v7.0 and I've had this frustrating issue I can't seem to work around. All the images in my gallery with transparent backgrounds appear instead with black backgrounds until they're opened with a program that allows for background transparency. Unfortunately, a number of the images are icons, border frames, banners, or other such decorative bits, and are thus all black themselves. So when viewing images in my Gallery (or when attempting to open one to use in an app) I cannot actually see the images at all, since the entire thing appears as a solid black box. Is there any way around this issue or am I wasting my time poking the Internet and hoping it will reply?
