my honor 9 won't switch on?

Hi, my honor 9 is having difficulty switching on and it comes to a screen where it says.. download latest version. I do that then it comes to the reboot but still does not come on. It then tells me to do a factory data reset. My only issue it that i will lose everything if i do that as all the phone has not been backed up. anyone know a way around this? Thank you.

Power Off, boot into Recovery and try a Cache Partition wipe.
