I have a motorola G6 play and I was forced to update to android 9. However, since I updated it, it's become very slow.

if I factory reset, I will have to log in to and re-download all of my apps and stuff. Do you think it would work? Also, is there any way to stop an update apart from postponing every week?

No..... Factory resetting will leave you with the current operating system. It will not go backwards to original operating system
