Unresponsive Keyboard on RCA Tablet

[Android Central Question]

I've gotten a new RCA Viking 10 Pro about a month ago. (It's called a Saturn 10 Pro when booting up though)

For the past few days I've been having an issue with the detachable keyboard where the hotkeys at the top (like the brightness and volume) are functional but the actual letters aren't so I'm not able to actually type on the keyboard. The on screen keyboard still works as well.

I don't have any other keyboards installed on the device and have performed a factory reset but the problem persists.

Welcome to Android Central! I wouldn't be surprised if it were a hardware defect. RCA is very much a budget brand, and quality control is not their strong suit. Is the device still under warranty?
