Why do i still get notification sounds through my headphones

[Android Central Question]

I just upgraded my phone to pie and not I have all notification sounds go through my bluetooth headphones while I have them connected. My phone is on silent and I dont like notification sounds coming through my headphones but I still want the notifications. What can I do?
