I switched from AT&T to Cricket 6 days ago and everything was good the first 4 days. When I go to my contacts Address Book pops up and is trying to download. I have never used Address Book and don't know why it's trying to download. I tried the force stop, turning the phone off and ran out of ideas.

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps. Is Address Book listed there? If so, select it and see if you can Disable it.

As I recall (I haven't been an AT&T customer for a couple of years), after the first few times you tell the Address Book to not run, it stops bothering you. Plug the charger in and let it download. Then tell it to stop bothering you.

(Or you could ask if a Cricket store could flash a Cricket ROM for you. You'd have to back everything up first, though, because everything on the phone is replaced by the new ROM. See Backing up an Android Device.)
