Every time I use the camera, the phone switches off. to start the phone again, I have to take the battery out, replace it, the the phone will restart.

    Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Does this also happen in Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28897

I have something to add, which I just noticed. my old battery wasnt lasting long so I purchased a new one. The above things started to happen after that, so thinking that it may be a faulty battery, I purchased another one, same thing happens.
So this morning I put my old, original battery in and i have no problem.
When it happens with the new batteries, they have plenty of charge remaining.

I'd still be interested in knowing if this still happens in Safe Mode.

I'm not sure what's going on. With the new batteries, after you take them out and put them back in and restart, is the battery level still high, or has it dropped significantly?

Keep in mind that replacement batteries for an old phone like a Note 4 are typically not "new" -- i.e., they haven't just rolled off the manufacturing belt. They've probably been sitting around for as long as the phone has been around, and so there's always the possibility that replacement batteries can be virtually dead-on-arrival.

No the level is nearly full and doesnt drop. Both new batteries do the same thing. one is a standard samsung battery the other is a 4500mAH.

Maybe there's something about their fit that's not quite right, leading to a loose connection with the contacts? Or something about the batteries is causing a short?
