Hello, I'll try to explain the situation.
I had an issue with my phone (Huawei P8 lite 2017) where the storage was pretty much completely filled and I couldn't have access to almost all of it. Since I was using the phone since quite a lot of time now, I thought it might have been an accumulation of residual useless files or stuff like that, so I decided to reset it.
After I did the reset, my phone was plugged to my laptop and it showed me 7,23gb of room left on the laptop windows explorer (internal storage is supposedly 16gb, I don't know the exact value I think it's closer to 14~15).
Considering the two games I wanted to have on my phone shouldn't go over 5gb, I thought I would be able to install these two. However, after I installed the first one (approximately 2gb), my phone only had 2gb left, which was weird since, after doing the math correctly, there shoud be about 5gb left.
When I checked the internal storage on my phone, I had that (screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/I0etqHw.png) Even by taking into account the little gap of actual gb value/displayed gb value, it doesn't add up, there is approximately 4gb lost.
I then installed the app Storage Space that supposedly shows how the storage is occupied. And it showed me 8gb of apps (rather than the 3~gbs showed by my phone). And when I checked back today (I did the reset tuesday, aka two days ago) on Storage Space (screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/713fAnN.png), the apps are now at almost 9gbs!!
Can anyone explain how my phone's storage is always getting filled but things I don't know? Like, how I see the things, I definitely should be have more remaining storage than that. Even now, when I add up one by one the storage of my apps, I don't reach 9gb, and at the time just after reset it was pretty much almost all storage free but it's been clogged up little by little.
