Does anyone else have see have issues using a charging cable other than the one supplied with the phone? I can use a different charger, but can only get the phone to charge with the supplied cable. I've tried several cables that have worked recently on a Nokia 7.1 without issues. Recommendations on a cable that will work that isn't 2' long? Thanks.

As long as it's good quality and the brick that you plug the cable into the wall dont exceed what's for that phone.

The brick can exceed anything. the phone and brick negotiate the maximum charge the phone can accept and the maximum the brick can supply, so a 25 Watt brick can safely charge a 10 Watt phone - it will only charge it at 10 Watts.

They always recommend in owners manual to stay at the rate charger the phone came with not to cause battery problems or other issue, so I'm going based on that .

And they have the battery warning set to about 15% maximum, which is ridiculous. (I've used a 30 Amp supply to charge my phones for years, and never had a problem.)
