when in airplane mode does a samsung tab 4 emit any signals

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry, can you clarify what you're asking? Are you experiencing a situation where the tablet is broadcasting something or receiving data while in Airplane Mode (and with wi-fi and Bluetooth turned off -- because you can turn those back on after Airplane Mode is turned on)?

A device is not supposed to have any radios on in Airplane mode (receivers generate signals too), so it shouldn't be able to receive an outside signal.

I'm qualifying this all over he place because that's what it says in the book, but some manufacturers deviate from the book.
