After the recent update, my phone was no longer able to send group texts. I went through several steps to try to correct it, including clearing my cache. Afterwards, I was able to send group texts (for about 3 days) but now the phone no longer connects to my car AND it no longer switches from wifi to my data, even though I checked the settings and it's clearly still set to that. Also, it no longer sends group texts.

This is not acceptable. I need my phone for work, and now anytime I'm away from a direct wifi link I can't access the internet or my emails. I also can't do hands-free phone calls anymore, which is problematic.

What update? What device? There are many of both.

Clear your cache partition and reboot.
Forget the car from the phone and the phone from the car.
Rediscover your phone and set it up again.

Welcome to Android Central! Group texting is MMS, which means it relies on mobile data. Have you had other issues with mobile data connection (like browsing the web while on mobile data)? If so, then make sure your APN settings are still correct for your carrier.
