Android Central Question

I have had my Samsung Galaxy J3 for almost a year now, but a big problem i have is not every android cord will charge it without giving me the "Slow Charging" message. How can i bypass this message so my phone thinks the cord is the original and it charges the correct way?

You cant bypass this , should always use the the charger that phone came with or equivalent.

There is no such thing as an "Android cord." I'm guessing you're referring to the USB cable, which those should be pretty universal.

So are any of these cables new, or are the malfunctioning ones used/old? They do go bad fairly often, so I'd make sure you try a new one first, or borrow a known good one. If you've already tried that, which cables are you using? Reputable cables comply with USB standards well, but I have personally run across some that don't (I.e. From the dollar store). If a new cable doesn't fix it, then it's possible the power supply that plugs into the wall is bad, or there's something wrong with the port in the phone. It could be something as simple as dust collecting that needs to be cleaned out, or a physical defect that requires replacement.

Or if I'm way off base and you are not referring to USB cables, please create an account so you can reply and clarify what the problem is.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you talking about only the cable, or the wall plug as well? Fast charging is typically dependent on the wall plug (although a low quality cable might also cause problems, even with the original wall plug).
