I can't unlock my Samsung phone even though I entered correct. Please help

[Android Central Question]

I was using my phone and then the next minute when I try to unlock, it says incorrect. It's a simple pattern so I'm 100% sure I didn't put a incorrect pattern.
I even restarted the phone and tried it. It still didn't work. One told me it's a software issue because it didn't locked out even after I put my pattern. And I should reset my phone. But I have some important files I can't lose them. Please help me to sort out this issue.
