Why cant I uninstall, useless built in apps on my Samsung Galaxy

When trying to take apps off my Samsung Galaxy phone that I don't use, it won't let me uninstall, it. It only lets me replace it.

Such is the case with bloatware. Manufacturers and carriers install their own apps that you can't uninstall without rooting the phone. You can disable most of them so they aren't running or anything in the background, but they will still take up some space.

It does indeed suck, but, rooting aside, all you can do with preinstalled apps is to Clear Cache, Clear Data, Force Stop, Disable.
If you can’t even do that...well I’ve never heard of that, but is that what you’re saying?

Welcome to Android Central! I think what you're doing is uninstalling updates from preinstalled system apps. You typically can't completely remove preinstalled apps. You can uninstall updates (which usually leads to a message asking if you want to replace it with the factory installed version), and then if possible, you can Disable the app, which prevents it from opening into RAM or updating to a higher version again.

It's generally not a good idea to uninstall or disable apps indiscriminately if you don't know what they're for. That might cause more problems, and then you'll be right back here asking for halp, wondering why your phone is bugging out.;)
