Why do my s7 bottom 2 buttons continuously flash

Sometimes they stay on for a few seconds mostly they just flash -- have no pattern with keypad or touchscreen or current apps open +/- being used. Started 3ish Mo's ago .

Welcome to Android Central! Do they still work normally? If so, I'd guess the circuits for the capacitative button backlights are faulty.
